Hey, I put some pic's up on a yahoo pic page, just like Dr. Smaggs does, please check 'em out, it's pretty cool. f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/metaldirk2000There will be more pics up in the future, the first one is a real oldy, I was like 18 or so (8 years ago) and had been playing for a year, check out the chain and locker necklace I wore there just because Duff Mckagan (GN'R) was my main influence at the time, I got into Jason a bit later. Check out my old Samick bass on that same pic, it was still new and shiny back then, compare it to the "Axes2" pic which was made a month ago. Have fun.

I put a pic of my bass stack up now. f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/metaldirk2000I bought it a few weeks ago, it's an old Cerwin/Vega 250 watt head with what appear to be custom build 4x10 and 1x15 cabs. Anyway it sounds awesome, I bought it at a real bargain price over the internet from some guy who played punkrock and wanted a smaller amp. I had never heard of the brand, but it is super solid built and therefore weighs like a ton but it still sounds very good considering the fact that the head is at least 20 years old. I think the cabs are built by some road case company or something, cause there are no labels or brands whatsoever, but they are very decent and sound very good. I gigged with it once and it really kicked ass, that means loud, I had to compete with a full size drum kit and two Marshall half stacks, there are some picks of it on our site, the URL is in my sig.

Yes, it does, the only downfall is its tendency to distort when driven hard and since it's not a tube amp, that doesn't sound so good, oh well, I'm real happy with it anyway.

on a tube amp yes, but on a transistor amp it usually sounds like shit. I also plug my bass into the active input, alltough it's passive, I swapped the stock pickup with a Seymour-Duncan quarter pound p-bass pickup, which has a really hot output, in fact it even delivers more signal then an active EMG-P set, and it sounds awesome.

Dude I have two G&L basses and one ESP bass.... photos.yahoo.com/bc/sidewinder69420 for pics. the G&L basses are both passive but they have stronger output than my ESP (active) when it is totally maxed out. I love my G&L's! My amp is the Ampeg SVT-3 PRO and it has tube preamp but the power section is solid state, and the natural overdrive sounds decent, watch your EQ, because that helps shape the tone even with that overdrive in there. I don't use much highs, I use a lot of mids, and I bring in just enough lows to fill the space without peeling my face off!
