Hi guys, I'm new here. I live in the Netherlands. Have been playing bass for the last few months now. been loving jason since 1996 when i first heard metallica. ;D About the concert I've seen it december 6th, godsmack kicked our *ss. about bells beeing left out the word is that rob can't play the intro. He also s*cks as backing vocal. but they did play creeping death my all time favorite and one with a lot of fireworks.

With all due respect, Rob CAN play the intro, he's done it on other shows as well and I think he does a great job replacing Jason, just as well as Jason replaced Cliff. Bashing on new members seems to be "normal", but totally unfair, 'cause the new guy simply can't help that his predecessor died or left or whatever, I hate that behaviour.
Anyway, welcome to the board and let's have some fun talking about whatever shit may come up here.

with all respect, but on jasonizer.com i read that there is an vidoe going round that shows rob trying but failing on bellz, have you seen the st anger dvd? don't you agree that rob seems a little bit "not in his place" and don't you miss jason banging on that spot?

Yes, I do miss Jason, as we all do, probably. But I'm just saying Rob is doing a great job, I mean it's not easy to replace someone anyway and for some unfair reason the new guy always get picked on because he gets compared to the other fellow.
Besides, if Rob didn't know how to play, Metallica wouldn't have picked him in the first place, now wouldn't they?
Hey, why the F@#k are we talking english to each other, we both live in holland, oh well....

Welcom to the boards
I think that playing-wise, Rob is great. I know that he definatly is an amazing player. Jason himself has said that Rob is a much more musical player than himself.

That's understandable, when you get used to something you love, and it changes, you might look at that new element in a negative way at first.

Having Rob (whom I know litte about, but I'm sure he's a cool dude) in my fave band Metallica is different for me too. I have to get used to him also! Change isn't so bad... Look where Jason is today, rockin his ass off and bringing the metal to the people!
