what's your ideal studio setup?!
by that I mean, if you could have your choice of ANY amps, basses, guitars - basically anything musical, what would you have?
I'd end up with heaps of stuff I'd never use, but here's what I'd definately want:
*At least 5 Sadowskys (2 4 strings, 2 5 strings and a Tele)
*A Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass V
*Fender Stu Hamm "Urge II" Bass
*Fender Roscoe Beck Sig. Model Bass
*Ibanez EDA905 FOF
*Ibanez S1320 FOF
*Gallien Krueger Head of some sort + 410 cab
*Ampeg SVT-4PRO + 410 cab
*Ampeg B series combo of some sort
*SWR "Megoliath" 810 Cabinet
*Fender Custom Classic Jazz Bass V
*Peavey Firebass Head + Peavey 410 + 115bBXBW (my bro has these and they're awesome!)
...........and a whole load of other usesless crap i'm too lazy to write out right now! ;D

The Ideal Studio huh. Well, i'd have too many basses to list but I'll list some of the main ones:
1. At least a few sadowsky's but not quite as many as Jason has (I think it's 18 now)
2. A Custom Ken Bebensee bass (www.kbguitars.com) they make some of the most beatiful natural wood basses I've ever seen
3. An alembic series I or series II. I played a series I the other day for about a half-hour and it was literally the nicest bass I have EVER played in every aspect. And to think a series II alembic would only be better is beyond my imagination.
4. A Ken Lawrence ChamberBrase bass (http://www.bassalone.com/chamberbr6.html) Wow is all I can say
5. A 1958 or 1964 Fender P-bass
6. A few Basslab basses (www.basslab.de) they are interesting.
As you can tell, I'm really into the independant luthiers and lesser know companies and I absolutely love natural wood finish basses over all others.
As for Amps:
Some vintage Ampeg heads and some SVT-2 and 4 pros. SVT 4x10 and 8x10 cabs.
Some SWR cabs
Probably try out some other lesser know companies amps and cabs. I think that a lot of the time, the lesser know companies and independant luthiers make the best stuff
So yeah. And my Dad is a very talented profesional soundguy so I'd have him build me an awesome studio

An amp so big and loud it could blow a womans clothes off.
A kirk hammet custom guitar of some kind.
A bass that Jason used. The drum set Lars has. Ten thousand microphones.
